now i know virtually nothing about unix, so terminal stuff is still rather a mystery to me ...
i have noticed that when running x-optimize to update prebindings after installing larger software, for some reason i end up with far more free memory than before, which, of course, is cool...
can anyone explain in simple words why this interesting effect takes place? is it possible to use this effect to free memory when needed or would this be a silly idea?
