My son recently installed Leopard on his G5 and this morning he emailed me this from work:
'When I go to update my software, MAC OS, it now asks you to restart
before the install and then installs on reboot.
However, when my machine boots up on the blue background screen there is a status bar which reads installing 1 item and the bar does not move?
Underneath it reads configuring installation? I have left it over night
but nothing?'
I've just spoken to him and he says it has updated iTunes and iLife etc., but it hangs when he tries to update the system software. He has to shut down via the power button and then restart.
Any ideas?
