Update to Aqua - Apple.com!

Well, I've read how Apple is updating Aqua a little in Jaguar and if you go to www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ and scroll to the bottom, you can see the new button already (if you haven't seen from screenshots). I don't mean to sound dumb but i don't get it. It's an aqua button. What's different? Less drop shaddow maybe?

They tweaked the interface a little bit. You'd basically have to use it to see the difference.
 
yes i can't wait til jaguar because this new tweaked interface looks a lot better - i'm so excited!!! (i just can't hide it. i know, i know, i know, i know, i want to) - remember that song anybody?
 
I haven't used any Jaguar builds, but if the new Aqua interface is just a "toned down" version of what I'm running now is that just a cheap and easy way of making everything run faster and the marketing guys rather than calling it a downgrade decided to call it Quartz Extreme. Just a thought ;)

Naww, it's not really "toned down," it's just a bit more subtle. And fast!

yes.
 
i think they made the aqua theme look less "fuzzy" because every mac now ships with a sharper flatscreen or LCD. that's my guess, anyway. the only difference in the new aqua that i see is a deeper contrast and sharper outlines. it will compliment the new anti-aliasing well, methinks.

It is still just an image. Changing the pixels should not make a difference. you know what I am saying?
 
I still don't know whether I like jaguar aqua better or puma aqua...

jaguar aqua looks more "flattened"
 
I just checked - iPhoto's and iTunes' download page still use the normal Aqua buttons.

Also, have you guys noticed how still on Apple's site there are images that are buttons from OS 8/9? It's strange. They need to get their act together :)
