updated limewire, now it wont run

ok. so i havent used my ibook in awhile, so i ran all of my system updates (had to do it like 3 times...). i then opened my limewire, and it asked if i wanted to update, i was on a roll so why not?

i updated, restarted my computer and now when i try to open it it says

"this application requires java 1.6 or later, but only the following java versions are installed:1.5.0, 1.4.2, 1.3.1, 1.5, 1.3, 1.4. updating to a newer version of mac os x may resolve this."

i know i can update os x, but that will cost me $129!

is there anyway i can uninstall this limewire update?
or is therean easier way to fix this?

Search usual places for Limewire 4.18.8 and install it over Limewire 5.? that you undoubtedly just installed.

I reverted back, as v5 is terrible IMHO! They just can't leave well enough alone, and finally broke it!
 
I'm not sure if we are allowed to talk about P2P here, but anyways.
I would never use Limewire, it is one of the worst P2P clients there is.
There are much better P2P clients out there, just google it.
 
what would you recomend? ive never used anything else then limewire...and im not very technologically suave. i can usually manage to fix this stuff but its over my head...
