Updated Mail issue

When I updated to 10.4.1, my e-mails in MAIL have a huge header (not font size, but large, empty spaces). One message has pages of just white space. I tried turning off the LONG HEADERS feature in the VIEW menu, but it actually made it even bigger. Anyone have any idea how to turn in "feature" off? I can't find anything in preferences. I tried doing a search and came up empty, so I hope I'm not the only one with this issue :/
