Updating Home-Made Widgets

Okay, so I'm way new to this.

I made a widget. Yay.

I want to have it update automatically with news.

I'm not entirely certain how it's suppose to be done.

I've been trying to link up an HTML file on my FTP with the Widget HTML file (in the bundle).

Any hints? Point me in the right direction?
