R rtist Registered Nov 5, 2002 #1 hi, i have mac os 10.1 and i am trying to update to os 10.1.1 but when im in the install screen which shows the disks that are availible to install on/ my hard drive disk is not availible am i missing something? can anyone help a mac os x rooky THANKS "THE RTIST"

K kenm75232 Registered Nov 5, 2002 #2 You need to install the installer update (http://kbase.info.apple.com/cgi-bin...query?searchMode=Expert&type=id&val=KC.120072) and the security update which I think is (http://kbase.info.apple.com/cgi-bin...query?searchMode=Expert&type=id&val=KC.120136 or http://kbase.info.apple.com/cgi-bin...query?searchMode=Expert&type=id&val=KC.120139) before installing 10.1.1.
