Upgrade Ibook G4 From Os 10.37 to 10.38

Hello. I just bought a used mac ibook g4 1.33 ghz on e-bay. I cleaned the whole think up & re-installed OS 10.35 original panther operating sys. I'm trying to upgrade it to 10.39....got as far as 10.37.......when I try 10.38, it says: You cannot install this software on this volume. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update. What can I do???? Thank for you're help.

Why are you going through all of that hassle? Just download the 10.3.9 Combined updater so you don't have to do it sequentially. Be warned that it is a large download, but once you have it burn it to a disc and you'll be golden.
