urgent help please. spacebar does not work

My Powerbook G4 has os X.2 on it.
The space bar suddenly stopped working as of today. What might be the problem?

could the keyboard be simply dirty?

or, try logging out and back in again. does it continue?
 
hehe. But if it ever happens again, you can use the "Key Caps" Utility to make spaces. Just click the spacebar.
