Urgent help with mac os 10.3

I have a powermac g4 with mac os 9 and then i installed mac os 10.3 everything has been working fine for the last couple of weeks (except MB's going down) now when I came into work this morning my classic loads all the extensions and just stalls - I tried rebuilding the desktop, blessing it - and nothing seems to work - It will restart fine in system 9! please help!

maybe its trying to connect to a network or something. Try unpluggin the ethernet cable when booting up and see what happens.

Which particular G4 is it? Did you apply the firmware upgrade before you installed OS X? You're going to have to boot into OS 9 to upgrade the firmware if your particular G4 needs it (it won't work under Classic mode).
