In OS 9.0 one could create a text clipping of a URL or FTP address that would become a little file. One could then double click the file to launch the appropriate address: a browser that went to the URL or your FTP client that logged into the site.
How does one recreate this functionality with OS X? Anybody know? The URL ones work alright, but the real functionality I'm looking for is with FTP. I know a .command file will open the terminal, how exactly does that work?
