URL no longer in Get Info comments?

In OS9, when I downloaded files off the internet, the URL from which I acquired it appeared in the Comments field of the Get Info window. This doesn't appear to be a feature in OS X, and I was wondering if there is any way to get it back, or any way I can find the URL of the original file? I found it very useful when I wanted to point friends to the same file, for instance.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The feature you describe was provided by your web browser, not the OS itself. I'd guess that at least one of the popular browsers incorporates this feature. You should suggest this feature to the developers of Safari. (Use the weblog, don't email them.)
 
You sure it was just the browser? I tried it with both IE and Safari; no URL info in the comments section with either one. Furthermore, the stuff I transferred from my OS 9 Mac to my OS X iBook lost all the comments they had - on a direct transfer via Timbuktu.
