Usb ADSL Modem auto connect

Hi,

Im quite new new max os x Tiger and have just got a mac mini, Ive got a usb adsl modem on it and my connection works when i go into "System Preferences" and click on "Dial" for the modem.
The problem i have it that i want it to automatically dial when the mac starts which i have ticked "auto connection" but it comes up saying "error connecting to ppp or something along those lines" so i ok that error mesaage and connect it manually then it connects.
Is there a way round this ?

Just connect once and leave your modem on when the computer is off. That way it'll always be connected, and when your Mac Mini start up it'll be ready for the net instantly. That's what I do.
