USB disk doesn't mount after sleep

The story:
I had my USB 1.1 HardDisk (20 Gb) mounted in my desktop.
My iBook is gone to sleep. After this I can't mount my USB HardDisk:

MacOsX can't recognize this Disk
INITIALIZE IGNORE


I lost all my Disk's file?
Utility disk see the HD but isn't able to mout.

Please help me

Yes.
I restart my iBook and then inserted usb disck cable ---> nothing

I restart with USB disk inserted ----> nothing

Big problem?
 
Hmmmm, shouldn't be!
Do you have another comp around? pc or mac, doesn't matter. Just to test, if something is messed on your ibook or with the usb-drive.
 
HD is Macos formatted the PC shouldn't read it.
I tried in PowerMac Dual G4: the same thing.I tried with norton (in Os9), but it doesn't see the USB drive.
6 month ago this happen again but after many reboot all was ok, but now....
 
Ok, something seems screwed. My last option: find a windoze box and test it there. If it works, try catching your data over the network and finally format the disc over your mac.
