USB Problem on My 12" powerbook

I'm not, actually, sure if the problem is USB related however I'll spill it.

I can connect both my USB Logitech mouse and iPOD Shuffle (through the little dock station) only through one of the two available USB ports.
The second port detects neither the mouse nor the ipod.

Any ideas?
