Use eMac with aiport card as basestation?

I heard it was possible to just purchase an airport card for your Mac and then use it like it was a basestation (ie then I don't have to buy a basestation)...

Is this really possible? My eMac is the one connected to the Internet so I'm hoping I can just purchase 2 airport cards and get wireless for the house.

Simple answer...

You need two Macs... each with an airport card. Then you can use as a base station the mac that is connected to the internet. Drawback... the computer directly connected to the internet must be ON at anytime that you want to be online on the other computer.
