Useless internet connect warning

I am having no connection problems with my home network, all is working fine. However, whenever my G5 wakes from sleep I get a message that "Internet Connect has failed because you have not provided a telephone number" (that's paraphrased, not exact). An empty modem jack is displayed with this warning.

How do I rid myself of this annoying and useless message? I believe it started appearing after I started using Entourage (coincidence?), but I find no settings in Entourage that would suggest I would be using the internal modem.

Thanks for any tips.

Are you not using the modem for anything at all? Then I'd remove the thing from Network Connections altogether.

No, I'm not using the modem and would just as soon not have it. I have been unable to find a dialog box that has a modem option to remove so I can lose this nagging alert.

Then go to Show menu and choose Port Configurations. In here uncheck the Internal Modem choice. Now drag it (grab with mouse) and move it to bottom of list and move Ethernet to top if not there already.

Uncheck any other connections you do not use like Bluetooth as well.

Hope this helps.
