I have gone into the System Preferences and in different applications and turned off the sound options. This worked for awhile, but in the last few days mysteriously the system and application sounds have returned.
In some cases, the boxes for sound were check marked. Even when unchecking them again it did not stop all the sounds. Can someone help me with this? Why can't I rid myself of these sounds?
