After a power failure, the emac seemed fine, several hours later it just went to a black screen with the words "couldn't find user, sleeping trying again" ... the orginal disks apple sent will not stay in, did a archive/install and comes to log in window and the user name and password will not work ... any suggestions besides a clean install of Tiger.
