Using a cell phone as a modem with mac book?

Can anybody offer me a good way to acheive this? I have T-mobile and the internet plan to back this operation, I have a Treo 650 which is bluetooth BUT I have no idea what software to purchase/download that would do that. The only similar software would have been wireless modem but it not supported by the intel mac book. Pleazzzzzzzzze help. I am about to give up and return the machine. I travel and YES there are many instances where WIFI or unprotected wireless connection are unavailable.

well it would have been a good start but although I can pair the mac and the treo the mac doesn't see any available services to use on the treo argh.....There's gotto be someone in the same boat. thanks for trying
 
I don't know about your service but with Verizon your username is 5555555555@verizon.net (your phone # in place of 5's) and password is just the phone # with area code. The access # is #777. I use the verizon driver already built in. Thats it. All works well here.
