Hi,
I am using a tibook with 10.1. I attached a Dell monitor to it and now I have stuff on the monitor and I can drag stuff to the laptop monitor. That was really cool for a while. But then I realize that I I don't use the laptop monitor very much at all. so the question is how do I not use the laptop monitor? It seems to be wasting energy and perhaps even video ram on a monitor I don't want to use when I have a larger Dell monitor.

Clues?
THANKS!

Get a usb keyboard & mouse, then close the lid of the iBook when you have your monitor closed.

Well, I don't have a usb keyboard. But, it shouldn't matter as this is the result I got.

I closed the lid of my tibook and the computer goes to sleep! The monitor, natually, is all dark as a result.

It's not smart enough to know that closing the lib meant I don't want to use the laptop monitor? Or is the keyboard the key to this?
