Video & Audio recording software (free?)

Hey,

I record guitar covers for youtube, as of now I have been using 2 PC's (one for playing backing track, one for recording the output from my mixer (along with recording the webcam).

I have brought my mac over from my other house (running os x tiger 10.4.11) and wanted to use this as the recording device.

Does anybody know of any software (preferably free) which i can use to record audio from line in and USB webcam together? (like an alternative to windows media encoder)

iMovie or Quicktime should be able to do it (although that probably depends on what versions you have). You might want to check those first and let me know if it'll work for you or not.
 
You can try this best audio recorder which is available to record all streaming audio played through your compuer with 1:1 high quality and high speed. Personally I prefer to use this audio recorder to record audio whenever I want to. It works greatly.
