Hello i am a new user here.I have already spoken to apple and they couldnt help me maybe you guys can. I recently switched over from windows and with it I took all the thousands of pictures and videos that I took with my pentax optio s40 (4 MP) digital camera. Everything was fine, I could see my pictures (using iphoto) watch the videos etc. I added many more pictures/video to my computer and also watched them without a problem. One day after a trip I tried loading the pictures onto my ibook everything froze. After playing around with other digital cameras, computers (mac and Pc) I narrowed down the problem to being that the videos that I took with my digital camera freeze computer. Any video that was taken even years ago wont work. They are saved in .avi format. However even WMP wont recognize them and quicktime just freezes. And so will finder. If there is way to resolve this issue I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you very much.
