Video Saving Problem

I have an iPhone 3GS verion 5.1 (9B176). Recently I have not been able to save videos that I receive through iMessage to my camera roll. I can view them on the messages app, but cannot save them to my phone itself. I hit the options arrow and the bottom left and the two options that come up are "save video" and "cancel." I tap the "save video" button, the options go away, and I go to my camera roll to see if it has saved, and it hasn't. I've tried restarting my phone, re-syncing, everything. How do I fix this? I'm going to the Apple Store tomorrow to fix a problem with a family member's trackpad on her Macbook, should I mention this?
