viewing foreign websites (hebrew)

UAAAARRRR!
a friend of mine just bought his first mac, an eMac 700. because he has lived for in israel for some time, he wants to view some websites in hebrew. i selected hebrew from the appropriate control panel. still it doesnt work. i discovered that the hebrew-language requires unicode scripting system. when in textedit it works fine, because this application supports unicode. but in internet explorer it doesnt.

is there an extension for internet explorer to enable unicode? or if not, is there another browser, which does?

any help would be appriciated! thanks!

I think that Explorer does support Unicode characters as long as you have the fonts installed. I've viewed many pages in Korean without problems in it. Chimera and Mozilla also support it.

Did he/you install the hebrew fonts with the OS X install CD?

i found out, that Opera 6 can display unicode text. in case other people have the same problem... opera does the job...
