okay ...now I realized that file vault caused my my data to "disappear"....
following happened: I turned my computer off and at one point I turned it on again (powerbook g4).
the deskttop was set to default after I turned it on, my data from the desktop were gone. I-tunes seemed to never have been used, the music and the photo library contents were gone.
the homefolder had this file on it: xxx.sparseimage with the filevault icon (25gb)
trying to turn off filevault resulted in an error message after 50 minutes off decrypting.
Anyway off getting the data decrypted?
Any way of turning filevault off without deleting the sparseimage file?
