Virex v. Norton Antivirus?

I decided to pony up and support Apple ... I bought a .Mac account.

I downloaded the FREE Virex app that comes with the .Mac account but have not installed it yet.

I also have INSTALLED, Norton Antivirus X 7.2 (or whatever version it is).

Anyone know which is better?? Should I switch to Virex? Is NAV compatible with Jaguar? I suppose Virex must be -- otherwise Apple is an idiot.

So what do you guys think?

This is a very personnal observation of the 2 softwares..

I find norton Antivirus very disturbing allways getting in the way of common
operations for no apparent reason.

On the other hand, the experience I have with Virex is that the software
seems to be taking care of just observing in the back, (letting you work)
but with a serious eye on your system, grabbing what is REALLY abnormal

Personnaly, I give Virex my vote

 I joined dot mac too and tried the Virex and every time I boot the Virex application quits. The web site was no help and said my virex was not up to date and not supported. I called thier tech support - a toll 900 number and they were supposed to send me ab e-mail fix but I am still waiting.
I was able to run the scan and found it to ne much slower than Norton's and it shows no progress bar.
I am back using Norton's that gives me no trouble.
When the dot mac goes into official status, they will have phone support which will be staffed at the Applecare number. When this happens I may then call them and see if I can get it to work right
