Hi,
Since upgrading to virtual PC7.02 via the MS patch I have been experiencing occasional system freezes (kernel panics) (4 to be exact) which have occurred 3 out of 4 times when either saving or quiting Virtual PC. It has occurred both with and without running the virtual switch.
I saw this response to another user on the site:

Hi Trent,
I've had lots of trouble with VPC 7.1 in Tiger, too. In my case it was a corrupted VirtualPCOSServices in StartupItems. The symptoms were random freezing, kernel panics, etc. I can't help but think MS has turned VPC into an even crappier product.
Anyway, it was pretty impressive problem-solving back there. Having you thought about joining as a volunteer?
Cheers,
Charlie
but I don't have the file VirtualPCOSServices in StartupItems.
Any suggetions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
db
