virus

So far there has been no real OS X viruses.

You could use Virex virus protection service (get from www.versiontracker.com or mac.com) - in any case, if you find a Windows virus on your Mac, it does not do anythign (as long as you receive it on your Mac)

You buy a program like Virex or Norton Antivirus, install it and run it. However, the chances of you finding anything more than an $80 hole in your pocket are slim, as I have heard of only one OS X virus thus far (and that has to do with MP3 files).

Another option would be to install fink, and install the clamav package - that's a reasonably nice, open source AV package.

No gui though, just command line, but for scanning single files though, it's as easy as can be; two commands:
freshclam (updates virus definitions)
clamscan <filename>
