VISE Installer and Windows Media Player

I am attempting to install Windows Media Player on mac os 10.4.1 and every time the VISE installer crashes as it starts to prepare the installer. I am on an iBook G4.

I have no peripherals connected and I am the administrator of my computer.

Have you tried downloading another copy of the installer?

Yes and that did not help. It still crashed.

Try repair permissions.
