Problem:
Installation hangs when installing software using the VISE X 2.0 installer.

Details:
The last software I tried to install was the Adobe Flash player 9.0:
The installer leads me through 3 steps: 'Introdution', 'installation type' and 'installing'.
In the installing-step I get the following messages:
"Items remaining to be installed: 4"
"Searching: Macintosh HD"
and a progression bar that never starts progressing.
(See attached screenshot)

The installer hangs. It does not freeze, and I am able to stop the installation using the stop-button. But it seems like the installer keeps searching my hard drive forever.
I have experienced the same problem with other VISE X 2.0 installers lately.

I have tried the following:
- Waited 2 hours for the installer to search my hard drive. Nothing happens.
- Permission repair with the Disk utility
- Apple Software update
- Googled the issue and searched this forum
but I haven't found any solution to the problem.

I know there were some issues with previous versions of VISE X,
and that the software is controversial.

Is this a known issue for the 2.0 version?
Is there any workaround for this problem?

In our company we had the same problem. We install our product with ViseX and one person experienced the same problems described above, the Installer searched all night without a result. Recently we found the problem. It was due to a broken file system. Use the disk utillity the recover this error. If the file system is corrupt it can be neccessary to reinstall your operating system like it was in our case. Repairing it failed.

If you need more information don't hesitate to ask.
