VOB converter software

I'm having a huge problem trying to convert vob files to something I can import into iMovie or Final Cut Express. I've tried some things, but they either don't work or I only get either audio or video. I've got a DVD camcorder and I need to edit the files, but I need to convert before I can edit. I don't care if I have to pay for software, so suggest anything! Thanks.
 
I'm trying it now. I really, really hope it works! I don't want to get rid of the camcorder just because of something like this. I'll post if it works!
 
If you do return it, i'd recommend a DV camcorder because you can reuse the tapes, it's digital, and it works much better with Macs.
