Just today, my G5 with Leopard started acting strangely. You know the little white speaker volume control that appears onscreen when you use the keyboard volume keys? It's always there, and always setting the volume higher, as if I'm holding down the volume-up button. If I use the mouse to turn the volume down from the menu bar, it quickly increases toward maximum and then keeps going, with the alert sound quacking about twice a second.
This happens even when no keyboard is attached, so I know it's not the keyboard.
