Hi,
A manager here at work would like to connect from home to the shared/network files using her new iMac. The VPN I configured connects perfectly - however, the mac is unable to locate the network share - in fact, it cannot even ping any of the local (LAN) IP addresses.
The ethernet connection gives an IP address of 192.168.x.x, and the VPN gives an IP 10.1.x.x (which is the local address range on the LAN), yet (as previously stated) ping tests fail for all 10.1.x.x addresses.
The only other insight I can give you is that there is another use who works from home who uses a PC, and we had similar problems connecting to the network shares. We solved this problem by adding an entry to the HOSTS file. Is there something equivalent for OSX, please? Am I missing something simple?
Any advice or guidance you can give gratefully received!
