VPN issues (PPTP)

I have trouble w/ my VPN connection to my workplace. I can seemingly connect okay, but whenever I try to Remote Desktop Connect into my Windows XP workstation, it locks up at the Windows XP login screen.

I've tried disabling my firewall, etc, but still can't seem to get VPN functioning correctly. Any ideas? I am desperate!
 
You might want to try DigiTunnel.

I've used it at my uni where the normal OS X vpn (pptp) didn't work that did.
