Wacom Serial Pad and OSX

Anybody has any suggestions as how to attach a Wacom A3 serial digitizer to an OSX system ?
Here's the details:
Keyspan Serial-to-USB connector w/driver 4.7.5-6 (for OSX)
Wacon Intuos pad with latest OSX driver.
The system can see the Serial adapter but not the device.
The whole thing worked in OS9, but never flawlessly.
The system is used almost purely for running a Photoshop 6.x in Classic mode.
Wacom states in their ReadMe files for the drivers, that they do not support Serial and ADB pads in OSX.
Need a workaround - if anybody has one ?

I wrote a driver for Wacom serial tablets a while ago. It doesn't yet support Intuos protocols, but it should have support for Intuos by the end of the year. I am always looking for testers, so if you still have the tablet, please get in touch.
