Wake up from sleep when web page is hit

Does anyone know how to make the computer wake up from sleep when someone hits the web page? I have my new G4 set to sleep but once it goes to sleep no one can access my web page. Please let me know any workarounds aside from keeping it awake all the time. Thanks.

There is no way to do this remotely. There is a way to wake up a machine on your local network but it has to be invoked from another machine on the same local network. Thus you'll just have to set your machine never to sleep.

Imagine the possibilites of a Magic Packet passsed from a CGI script.

Still, you're better off leaving any kind of server set not to sleep. It's just asking for trouble and makes your server inaccessible when it's asleep.

Yeah, if you're running a webpage, you shouldn't sleep your computer. It's just inconvenient. If you have to sleep your computer, I'd recommend finding a cheap webhosting company to put your pages on.
