i'm playing wow on a 12inch ibook too. 1 ghz, 768 ram, and its fine. The extra bit of ram is nice (mine only came with 256 at first), and headphones help a lot since the ibook has zero bass in the speakers.
Only problem is the lag in places like orgimar (main town)... but you learn to deal with it since there's no threats there...

Oh yeah, i put it on an external hard drive after install since i have no space left (only started with 28gb) and it runs fine on that too. I think its a 5400rpm going through usb, but i can't tell much difference from the internal 4800rpm drive.
