WarCraft III Performance on G3

I want to get WarCraft III but have put off buying it because I don't know how well it will perform on my B&W G3. I've heard varying reports. Some say it's pretty tolerable and some say it's dog slow. What have everybody else's experiences been?

It runs great on my G4 733Mhz, but I tried it on a 400Mhz G3 iMac and the app froze the Mac just as soon as action came up. Don't buy, I don't think you have hardware for a good experience.

What about my Graphite G3? (600Mhz, ATI Rage 128, 256Mb etc.

I'm quite keen to get Warcraft III on my Mac, but I don't know how it'll run.

Doe anyone else run this game on a similar spec machine to mine?

Well, it's pretty clunky on my G4-500 w/ Radeon 8500 unless I turn down the graphics settings.. then it looks like crap. It's smooth as butter on my roommates P3-800 w/Voodoo3 card.. which really chokes me.. especially considering it was the same Voodoo3 card that I was running in my G4 until I upgraded to OS X. Ram is not an issue, as my system is fully populated to a full gig.

I am running it on my iMac 800 w/ 768 mb RAM.
I have all settings on low (butt ugly) and still see poor/unacceptable framerates when theres heavy action.

Btw, any nice tweaks/optimizations to squeeze out as much power from OSX as possible?

i installed it on my wife's imac dv se and it ran slow and looked like crap, its a 500Mhz/512MB Ram with an 8meg rage pro
