Warn of connected users upon shutting down?

Does anyone know how I could set my Mac to warn me if other users are connected to my computer when i shut down? I often connect to the main computer in my office using 'Connect to Server...' from the Finder-->Go menu and then the person using it often shuts down at random times. How could I get an alert to pop-up saying 'Hold on mate, whats_his_name is still connected!'

Is there an automatic way of doing this or would I need to use a ShutDown Script (I assume ShutDown scripts exist if StartUp Scripts do)?

If anyone has any suggestions for how I might acheive this I'd appreiate it.
