Way of forwarding emails from inbox to folder?

Info to know: I am talking about the Mail Application (they should rename it to iMail or something to avoid confusion), I am on Panther 10.3.7, latest updates etc, all good)

Anyhow, say I receive a News Alert from Google. Is there a way to configure Mail so when the Alert arrives in my inbox, it automatically goes to my "News" Folder, that I made?

Make a rule.

Yes, rules will do just what you want. Go to Mail Preferences; Rules and create a rule that says, for instance, "if message is FROM (whatever), then move the message TO (folder name)". If you have the message highlighted when you do this, it will autofill for you. Very simple, and works quite well.
