Yes there certainly are other ways. Primarily, you can access it from the Unix shell via the Terminal program. However, working in the terminal is not to be taken lightly, and you will need detailed and specific directions.
I suggest that you search the web for sites that provide these instructions, as I believe they are a bit much for a thread like this. There are tons of places to find stuff like this, though I don't know any for sure. Good Luck, maybe some one else knows of some Unix command line help sites??
