Web Sharing question

In the sharing preferences, I turned on web sharing. I placed some test files in /Library/WebServer/Documents, with index.php as the top of the tree. I inserted a link to it in index.html, already there.

In Safari, I loaded http://my.domain.com and all was well - my new link was there. However, when I click the link, Safari displays the PHP source, it doesn't execute it.

Did I skip a step?

Did you enable php in Apache's conf file?
