Weird behaviour webserving on OS X 10.1

I'm not sure if this is expected behaviour, but I figured I'd ask.

I'm trying to use OS X as a webserver, and I find that I cannot connect to my own site using its domain name or IP address (if I enter either into a browser, I get a timeout error).

What's even stranger is, I cannot ping my external address in Terminal. This has me stumped.

My server is sitting at either generic.pedxing.org or its raw IP address .

Can you hit my site? If so, please mail me at the link on the page.

Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have a second Ethernet card installed? If so, I think I remember someone else having problems when trying to ping their other ethernet device when having more than one installed.

It probably has something to do with the routing.

Nope, it's an iMac (no room for a second card).

I am running on DSL, however, which creates a "ppp0" adapter for the connection. You may be right about the routing. As it turns out, since the site is accessible and I can hit it internally using "localhost", I'm not that concerned about it (just perplexed).

Thanx anyways.;)
