Weird iChat Problem

I frequently get an error using iChat with a particular person. The error reads that I have entered to much data, please wait and try later. Has anyone had this problem before? Both of us have cable modems, and Macs.

Try using adium? That way you might be able to tell whether its to do with your clients or your connection somehow.

are you just sending really really long messages?

has someone with aim been warning you? I remember it gives a similarly worded error when you 'get in trouble'

It means you have sent too much (too many messages, too long of a message) in a short time. I noticed that the AIM network has become much more picky about hit lately. To get around it, you'll either have to just wait, or you can open a Direct IM with your buddy.
