N nichrome Court Fool Oct 21, 2002 #3 I had a similar prob with the Sound panel. It's caused by a bonked cache file. To fix it, do this: 1. Quit SysPrefs if it's open. 2. Delete ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.preferencepanes.cache (~ refers to your Home directory) 3. Relauch SysPrefs.
