What do Forum/BB scripts lack?

Okay, calling all webmasters:

If you are running PHPBB, OpenBB, VB, ect... or Just use the software (meaning like you are now, as a user), what features/things should be added?

What do you like, What dont you like, what should be added...

Im THINKING, about coding my own, its come to a point in my life (teenagerism), where I think I know everything... (or so they say), so I am going to take this skill and put it to use...

Not really, I just need feedback on what would be cool.

If you need some php coding to do, I would sure like having you join the www.urbanturban.no staff and code us some fancy user submission applications and art galleries ;)
Those that are out there are too... maximalist and ugly :p
