Hi there i have just installed Flip4mac but i am know trying to open a file but its saying that
Safari cannot find the internet plug-in

The page “Video Streaming Portal - NEWS.com.au” has content of MIME type “application/x-mplayer2”. Because you don’t have a plug-in installed for this MIME type, this content can’t be displayed.

Can some please help me with this as i have no idea what this means

Cheers

MIME refers to content type; everything on the internet has a MIME type, some more specific than others. Rich media MIME types are important on the web, because they indicate which plug-in (if any) the browser needs to load to handle a particular file.

Flip4Mac *should* handle this MIME type. Two things:

1. Have you restarted Safari since you installed Flip4Mac?

2. Try going to the same URL in Firefox and see if it works better there -- sometimes Safari and Firefox play differently with their plug-ins. If you still have trouble, please provide a specific URL for people to look at.
