what does X server have/do that X dont?

PowermacG4_450

OS X Jaguar
what is the difference between 10.1.3, and os X server?

can I run X server without it being a server? NOT that I would, just wondering what the server version has/does thats different.

thanks.

OSXS includes lots of services not found on OSX as far as I can tell. I run OSXS to control the file sharing and archiving in my office. The ServerAdmin app allows AFP, Windows file sharing, Apache Web, PERL, NetBoot, SQL/database support [?], Macintosh Manager, AutoMount, and a host of other things i will never use. It also will not run CLassic, so legacy apps are a no go. No problem anyway, since the OSXS will rarely need anything else added, unless you have a specialized function that you need a 3rd party app.
