What happend at last?

I still remember that article in wired saying that the new iMacs are slower in Internet than a Windows PC. What happend? Was that true? Did Apple said anything about that?

I also remember an article saying that the new iMac is slower than Windows...test done with IE. Suuuure, that's fair...

(unfortunately) IE is the fastest browser i've been able to find for my imac (500mhz g3, an oldie but goody), faster than netscape and even chimera. chimera was actually the very slowest, maybe i'm doing something wrong?

even so, i am able to piddle on the i-net just as fast as my roommate who is running a 1-gig pentium something or other, also using IE.

as much as i'd like to use something else, i suppose it works for now.

Hey, I have got to say that I thought IE was better than omniweb and the others I tried, but I finally download Chimera and it is the fastet I have tried.

Can be tracked to why Microshaft are in court... complete integration of the browser into the system!:o ;)

Microsft should stay in court, but IE's the fastest at home -- maybe the only program with Outlook I like from MS.

One of the Chimera builds (might have been 2.5) was much slower than all the others.
IE is definitely not the fastest browser on my 350MHz G3 iMac! OmniWeb, Mozilla, Chimera and iCab all leave it in the dust. But bear in mind that I am using the very latest builds of all these browsers.
